As hurricane season swings into full effect and the southern United States readies itself for the ongoing threat of more hurricanes, a cool, almost autumn breeze has offered a moment of respite and sliced through the humid summer air. A step outside and a deep breath lets you know that right after the hurricanes swell and surge each year, fall graces us with its stillness and beauty. The trees take on warm hues of brown, red, and yellow – pumpkin and cinnamon take over seasonal menus and flavors. The temperature outside begins to drop and people spend time with friends and family indoors, around fires, and at all the other holiday gatherings that grace our lives at the end of each year. Fall seems to be a time of community and togetherness to punctuate what has been an eventful and somewhat turbulent year. As leaves begin to fall and swirl around the streets in Tallahassee over the next several months let us count our blessings and enjoy the still moments and beautiful little pieces that encapsulate the fall.
Pieces like the pumpkin patches beginning to appear across churchyards, fresh apples in the markets, and the feeling of a warm drink on a brisk evening. Such comforts not only offer us moments of gratitude, but also a feeling to work towards. Our firm strides every day to provide this feeling, to make sure the residents of Tallahassee and agencies across the state at large are represented in legislative decisions. We work tirelessly with clients to share their story, and the individual behind the stories and the changes in the community we see around us. We understand the importance of this sense of community, a vital network of relationships that only strengthens as we continue our work. The beginning of fall drives home our underlying commitment to one another in the community, and our interconnectedness in both moments of calm and duress. Our firm would like to wish everyone a happy fall and a successful rest of the year. We’ll continue to provide relevant news surrounding Florida legislation and policy, focused on quality information and relationships with our clients. Thank you for your continued support.
See you on the trail,
Lisa
