Our son’s 37th birthday was last week and we made a trip to New York City to celebrate. It was a time for celebration and reflection…celebration with the Yankees win over the Tampa Bay Rays and reflection as we paid our respects by attending the museum dedicated to honor those who perished in 911 tragedy. We also saw Broadway’s Come from Away, the story of the human spirit that came alive when almost 40 planes diverted to Gander, Newfoundland, the morning of September 11, 2001. Please read about this incredible story and try to see it before the show ends on October 2.
As we walked in Time Square I kept noticing another theme…that dogs were top of mind on billboards, digital images and on the streets with their owners taking them for a stroll, dozens of them! And then there was the larger than life images of the DC League of Super Pets sponsored by Showcase Cinemas that dominated Times Square. Everywhere you looked there were Super Pets images of dogs that were larger than life, which to me serves as a metaphor of what our animals mean to those of us who are fur angel lovers! So enjoy learning more about the new and latest entertainment, with a synopsis here:
“Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis side by side. When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a rag-tag shelter pack – Ace the hound, PB the potbellied pig, Merton the turtle and Chip the squirrel – to master their own newfound powers and help him rescue the Super Heroes.”
