As a post-legislative session treat, we made the journey to Nova Scotia in Canada. It was a wonderful excursion to give us a taste of the Maritimes and left us wanting to return to see the rest of this beautiful region. Each of the seven main areas of Nova Scotia offer a different feel in terms of landscapes, cuisine, and heritage. We saw charming seaside villages, had unique experiences talking to Canadians who are friendly and hard-working, and saw some of the most famous Nova Scotia destinations, including the Bay of Fundy & Prince Edward Island. We spent lots of time in Nova Scotia’s mainland along the south and Acadian shores up through the west and the Bay of Fundy before returning in a perfect loop back to Halifax where we had a day to explore the capital maritime city.
You will be drawn to Nova Scotia for different reasons —searching for lighthouses and the best lobster rolls in North America, and we were able to escape the hustle and bustle of the real world to find tranquility in the green landscapes and beautiful water. What struck me was there are no billboards at all and was refreshing not to see plaintiff lawyer ads! And the best news is the dollar is strong!
It’s impossible to see everything Nova Scotia has to offer in one trip, but I hope you will put it on your bucket list, and I can help you with your itinerary designed for the perfect road trip!
See you on the trail,
Lisa
