This week marks the official start of committee meetings as we gear up for the 2026 Legislative Session, which will run from January through March. For nearly two decades, our firm has been dedicated to advancing sound public policy and promoting strong consumer protections within Florida’s insurance marketplace. Our mission has always been to help ensure a fair, vibrant, and competitive environment for homeowners’ insurance. I’m incredibly proud to work alongside such an exceptional team of bright, hardworking property insurance professionals and policymakers. Over the past year, we’ve seen real, tangible progress for consumers − from stabilizing premiums to a renewed sense of market confidence and competition.
This remarkable turnaround didn’t happen by accident. It’s the product of bold leadership from Governor Ron DeSantis, Insurance Commissioner Mike Yaworsky, and our state legislature, who together have driven reforms that have largely eliminated the “funny business” and curbed the influence of “billboard lawyers.” As we move into this new committee cycle, there’s so much to be thankful for − the progress we’ve made, the collaboration that made it possible, and the opportunities ahead to keep strengthening Florida’s property insurance market. The work continues, and I couldn’t be more optimistic about where we’re headed.
