Florida is reopening, as are other states, so take a minute to ride around your town. Note how many of those sitting under outdoor restaurant canopies or in the grocery parking lot have on masks. Please let us know what you see. It has been our experience here in the Panhandle that 50% of the public are wearing some type of facial covering and the rest seem unengaged or, for that matter, disinterested in anything more than eating their meal or shopping for it at their local grocery.
Remember in the mid-1980’s there was the “Just Say No” to drugs campaign? Perhaps we need a “Just Say Yes” to facial coverings campaign! For the life of me, it is such a simple and kind gesture because it ensures the protection of those in close proximity versus being protection for the mask wearer. Such a beautiful way to do a small part to make a difference. I will be venturing out this week to central Florida with mask and gloves…hope to see you wearing the same!
