I enjoy public speaking and have had the opportunity to address several audiences about insurance issues in recent weeks. Among them, the National Association of Residential Property Managers, FSU classes in the Risk Management and Insurance School, a group of legislative interns, and the incredible insurance agents that are members of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents, to name but a few groups.
One of my favorite outreach efforts is through our Florida Insurance Roundup podcast, now seven years in the making and listened to by young and old, from a variety of different insurance disciplines and ancillary industries! Our latest episode is coming out this week. The topic: the importance of property insurance adjusters – and their bosses – being prepared for and adequately responding to the pressures of the job that come with facing disasters on a regular basis. And then in a couple of weeks we will release our post legislative session podcast. Our guest will be Florida Representative Tom Fabricio (R-Miami Lakes). He sits on the House Insurance & Banking Subcommittee and Chairs the Ethics, Elections & Open Government Subcommittee. You won’t want to miss it!
Speaking of the legislature, up next is Bill Watch, followed by an assortment of interesting news and developments in property insurance and disaster recovery and resilience.
