I have worked as an advocate for sound real estate and property insurance public policy for years and my real estate colleagues drill into my head that it’s not the house, it’s where it is that determines its value. In fact it was a pal of mine who is building a new house that sent this picture to me with a chuckle and said, “Remember I told you my new house had a sporty price because it’s being built in a way cool area? I thought this message might get your attention!”
What better way to send a message than to “locate” it on a bacon package, with bacon being one of the most sought after snacks today! I attended a conference this past week and on the pass around hors d’oeuvre tray was honey dipped bacon!
In this case it’s not only the location of the message but the message itself that is powerful yet humorous. Most of our readers have kids and grandkids. Are they learning how to conduct activities of daily living? Can they cook and keep their space clean? Should they learn that in school or at home or both? I think we all get this message and maybe we should spread the word and locate messages on Starbucks cups, for example, that say “Did you know that spending $3 or more a day on coffee can add up? If you don’t, then please ask a financial advisor!”
