Over the past couple weeks I led virtual presentations ranging from the current use of Assignment of Benefits documents (yes they are still being used with a twist or two) to the importance of real estate agents and insurance agents in educating homeowners to protect themselves from floods. In these discussions, panelists and attendees expressed extreme concern that while these topics are gravely important, conversations ultimately continue to turn toward the theme of “how do we make an impactful difference” whether it’s in the insurance industry or stopping COVID-19’s spread or for that matter ensuring election integrity.

As we continue to chart a journey forward into 2021, we have an opportunity to blaze a renewed and healthy mindset. As citizens, we all need to take a collective deep breath and renew our focus and energies. Once we exhale, we need to reconnect to a few basic principles that make the United States such an exceptional country and the understanding that we are at our best when a majority of people work together to learn, grow and strive for prosperity.
