Whether at home, at the office, or at the work-from-home office, keeping our spaces organized and free of clutter can be a difficult task all on its own. The pandemic has created challenges for thousands of employees in every state. Now a growing number of them are turning to “professional organizing businesses” to help organize their homes and home offices.
After the slow roll of reopening months after the pandemic began, professional organizers are now finding themselves to be a hot commodity, thanks in part to stay-at-home workers. Professional organizing has also entered the national psyche in recent years, as 21-century philosophy in the form of self-help books and TV shows about decluttering/organizing. All the while, they’ve stacked up viewers and sales. These factors have led to more business in recent months, and area organizers see increased demand continuing into 2021 and beyond.
One such pro is Elizabeth Harrison, the founder and owner of Sarasota Home Organizer. Beyond home office organization, she has worked on a variety of projects throughout the pandemic, from organizing entire family homes to even reimagining spaces for children. With many young students across the country taking classes virtually from home, some families have called on Harrison and her team to help set up designated learning areas. “Now everyone is contained together in close quarters, and it’s important for everyone to have their own space,” she told the Business Observer in a recent article.
As a service, it’s clear that having an extra hand in decluttering the space around us lends a reciprocal hand in decluttering our minds. Even if we don’t necessarily need a third-party to get that job done, consider what you can do to maximize your space and you just may be able to reorganize you and your family’s life for the better!
“The inside of a house or apartment after decluttering has much in common with a Shinto shrine… a place where there are no unnecessary things, and our thoughts become clear.” – Marie Kondo
