Last week I traveled to Jacksonville, Naples, and Ft. Myers – those areas among the hardest hit by Hurricane Irma – to see firsthand how Florida’s Insurance Villages operate. While I learned it doesn’t take a village to handle a claim, it certainly makes it easier on our policyholders to have a central place they can go for personal claims assistance, helpful advice, and a smiling face.
I also spent some time in an insurance company call center and sat in on an independent adjusting firm training class for new and current call center representatives, who staff first notice of loss calls.
